Pastor Lucius Campbell, Sr.
Deliverance Tabernacle Holiness Church 1689 Anthony Rd. Macon, GA During the inception of the Deliverance Tabernacle Holiness Church Ministries Inc. in the year of our Lord 1989, God placed it in the heart of our founder, Bishop Charles Ellington, to birth “Churches” unto him.
On the first Sunday in April 1997, we saw this come to pass with the opening of the doors of Deliverance Tabernacle at 1689 Anthony Road in Macon, Georgia under the pastorate of Elder Robert Weaver. Elder and Sister Weaver labored faithfully until they heard the call to launch out on their own; opening the doors of River of Life Worship Center in Warner Robins, Georgia. In the meantime, God was rearing up a son born to this ministry to step in as Pastor. Pastor Michael Collins was installed over the ministry on May 31, 1998. Pastor and Sister Collins followed suit as God led them giving people fresh manna from heaven while continuing to teach and preach; making disciples for Jesus Christ. They labored diligently until they began to hear a call for another vision.
In September of 2004, they felt led by the Lord to begin a separate work in another part of the vineyard known as Destiny Driven Deliverance. Once again this left the pastorate at 1689 Anthony Road vacant. Then the clarion call went forth as to “who shall we send and who will go for us.” Minister Lucius Campbell Sr. answered the call. Pastor Campbell was installed on January 23, 2005 and has been faithful to the ministry by encouraging the people of God to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Under his leadership, several ministers have embraced their calling to the ministry and have been licensed and ordained. They have had ample opportunities to hone and define their ministries and gifts of evangelism and prophesying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Faithful brothers have also been ordained to the office of Deacon. In addition, numerous souls have come to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus and have received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Under the leadership of Pastor Campbell numerous renovations have been made to the sanctuary. And if the Lord delays His coming, Pastor Campbell shall continue to do his part working to perfect the “ecclesia” to present it a “chaste bride” without spot, wrinkle, blemish, or any such thing.
