Bishop Charles Ellington
Deliverance Tabernacle Holiness Church 435 Elberta Rd. Warner Robins, GA was founded and established on July 2, 1982, by Pastor Charles Ellington of Macon, Georgia. Pastor Ellington felt a burden in his heart for the city of Warner Robins, Georgia, therefore he was led to start a mission there. He started out in a small store front building at 132 Manor Court.
Signs and wonders followed as he went forth doing the will of God Many were saved, blessed, healed, and delivered. He was there 3 years, but God had greater things for him to accomplish. The Lord began to deal with his heart about building a house for his people. He had a vision and believed that God would one day bring it to pass. In the year of 1982, it had been prophesied that he would indeed build a church from the ground. “…thou the vision tarry, wait for it… for it shall surely come to pass.”
In 1998, Pastor Ellington was ordained as Bishop by presiding Bishop Stephen Ackey. During our twenty-first Pastor’s Appreciation, it was prophesied: “We are coming out of this hole!” In our annual business meeting the following year, it was voted unanimously to move our ministry to a more visible location that would place us on a main pass way in the city. Shortly thereafter, the church found and purchased property at 435 Elberta Road. Despite the obstacles the enemy threw in their paths Pastor Ellington and his congregants were able to complete the building of their Sanctuary.
